i rest my arm on the left carbon fiber part and it always pushes down making a click noise. does yours do that?
So I did play around and figured it out. For me, the weight of my arm resting is not enough, but I could get a clicking sound when applying pressure. If I push down on the point in the image, I get a clicking sound from the plastic 'jumping' over the stock plastic inside. See image;

Not a big enough issue for me, but I would suggest you trim back the plastic on the overlay where I circled, and smooth it out to both the left and right. I would try a Dremel/rotary sander. You can see in the picture, there is not quite the same amount of gap at that point, hence the interference and clicking sound when you cause it to move/deflect. Hopefully that solves the issue for you.

The wife was out with the ridgeline so I had to take the r down to the mailbox. I immediately realized that I may have over indulged in the holiday meals. The seat was a bit on the tight side. The positive side is I decided to take the opportunity to drive down the street a bit to get fluids to operating temps.

Happy early New Years folks!

Thanks for following up! I’ll probably try sanding it down ????

Been there done that, I think I misinterpreted the 8 in FK- Ate.

I HAD a Ridgeline BLack Edition but sold it outright to Honda dealer as COVId lockdown kicked in. I miss it but no more pretend Type R like the truck (pic, tuned +44hp), got the real thing 6 months before selling the RL as it was too much for sons first vehicle.

Yeah, I remember seeing your RL in some photos here and there. So far, our Ridgeline is slaying winter like a boss. It was nice to row my own gears again though. I miss being able to drive the r in any weather down in FL

I just want to publicly thank all the great advisors here with an amazing set of skills, knowledge, and ability. What a great place to become smarter, make an attempt to learn other than from ones own mistakes.

The assistance and patience from senior members (or anyone who has done something before) confirm this is a wonderful and informative community.

I also want to thank all for putting up with my red quest and more prominently, my clowny anything for a laugh antics that I hope at some point made you laugh, smile, shake your head, or block me. Wait, screw that last group, they’re not seeing this anyway.

Hope all new, bold, smart, or need to be told (like me) have a joyous healthy new year and are hunkered down for a change in the heartbeat of America, the greatest country in this nation!

I like the belt covers, more red! Like the latch covers too, I went with the red H ones. If anyone wants to own the black ones, PM me, they’re reasonable.

I used to have a BE Ridgeline so I mean this in a nicest way. I’ve seen your nuts before plenty of times.

Thanks @RepyT for advising me on one of my mods. So far that double-sided tape you recommended to me is holding up on my carbon fiber vent overlay mods.

I've been a member of this forum for almost 1 year now and from the time I joined to the time I actually took ownership of my 2020 back in Sept until now, I have really learned a great deal about this car and met some of the most passionate people who own and really enjoy modding them. Even though my interactions with you have been online and virtual, I have always felt welcomed and respected and I think being a part of this forum has brought some comfort to us during these months of shelter-in-place. Hopefully someday I can meet some of you in a future meet-up.

I'm looking forward to a 2021 where hopefully we can recover and get back to some sort of normalcy again post pandemic. In the meantime we need to continue to be safe, vigilent and disciplined until that time comes.

I took my car on it's maiden voyage with the PRL downpipe and frontpipe combo along with the Sequence Exhaust. Man this combo sounds like a serious beast. Reminds me of an A10 when the boost triggers the actuated center pipe. "Brrrrrraaaaaaaap"
I ended up making a video on this.

I am super stoked with this setup. Thanks to @boosted180sx and @fatherpain for the recommendation on this exhaust.

Glad to know it met or maybe exceeded your expectations with the new Sequence exhaust and PRL FP & DP (catted/uncatted?) and hope maybe you find time to capture a few rev and idle seconds of vid to share.

Unlike the A-10 Warthog, your car doesn’t have two intake spark plugs. You know this but for the rest, an A-10 has spark plug igniters inside each engine intake. Why?

The front 30mm Gatling gun gasses can get sucked into each intake and are so thick/dense the engine(s) can actually flame out and shut off. To avoid this, when the gun fires, these igniters spark to keep the engine fuel combustion going. You can hear this as electrical sounding clicks as the gun cycles on the ground. These plugs require periodic replacement based on number of rounds fired.

This very lethal tank buster can be used to destroy just about anything and everything and there are different types of ammo available based on mission needs.

The A-10 is a versatile ground support flying tank with two dozen possible munition launch locations that can release many different weapons including missiles, rockets, bombs or remotely piloted aircraft. It works so well it’s been planned for retirement and revived several times. It’ll go away completely before long.

If honoring military is your thing, contact your local museum authorities and/or and your Congressional Representative and tell them you want an A-10 on static display (with a stick up it’s butt) and it might be feasable to be arranged if the community is engaged. I’ve seen that happen with dozens of C-130s.

I once creatively ‘borrowed’ a flap micro switch from one on perm display (you don’t need to know where, when, and especially why). It got put back later.

Surplus aircraft are either prepared for storage in a boneyard, demilitarized and given/sold to industry or to ally countries, or sometimes destroyed.

This amazing platform was designed gun first, then the surrounding tub that became the fuselage. A few thousand popsicle sticks & Elmer’s Glue later, it got wings and some giant turbofans, and lots of hydraulic fluid that seems to go everywhere.

In a strange underdog way, the A-10 reminds me of a Type R. Some regard it as ugly or a thing of beauty... until viewed from the rear... but enough about my ex-wife.

HNY & GBA!

I think my brother-in-law who flys an A10 out in Tucson will appreciate reading this thread. A few years back they talked about "retiring" the A10 but then they changed their mind for now so he still has a job at least. You crack me up man. Hey so check out the Sequence Manufacturing Titanium Exhaust thread. I posted the video in there if you are curious.

Time to tackle the exhaust. Can't wait to hear how it sounds in person.

Oh, if anyone has the instructions for this exhaust and knows what each bolt should be torqued to, please let me know lol

Just another paint correction aide that works well to shield tires & wheels.

I’m taking this DIY ceramic coat prep thing way too seriously.

Set of 4 Tire Covers, Waterproof...
