What did you do to your Type R today?

					The shift knob on my 2020 is freezing cold. Any alternatives or suggestions out there (besides putting on racing gloves)? ? I keep a brake reservoir sock on my shifter when not in use.

Ouch yeah I can sympathize. I got the 27won exhaust which is quieter than the awe and my ears are still ringing. The highway drone is killing me. I'm considering having an exhaust shop add a resonator.

Keep us posted on the resonator. I ordered these sound deadening material on amazon. I plan to put it on in the trunk spare tire area. Hopefully it deals with some cabin noise.

Tried that already, put in some kilmat 80mm sound deadening in the spare tire area. Helped a little but not much. Adding some more foam on top of it this weekend.

Ok. That’s exactly what I plan to do. 80mm sound mats.. but I did order noico 150mm sound insulation as well. I plan to put that on top of the Kilmats. Fingers crossed

You must have a different AWE, the track one? The Touring doesn’t have a drone issue, Pitt my e bright 2200-2500 is all.

Bit late now but Noico heat shield (light foam) in combo with gel butyl foil backed supposedly do well together, hushed mine quite a bit.

Mine is the touring. Good to know that the sound padding somewhat works. You don’t have to cover the whole metal part of the trunk though, right? Just square patches in the area and cover the blank spaces with aluminum tape?

I did both layers under platform completely without pulling sides (lazy) and leaving tie down hole open for a spare I still don’t have.
Ugly patchwork but covers all effectively, about 100 degrees that day. No roller then, used pantry soup can.

@MrTuckers ill be 36 in December..hit 17 mark in Feb. Ill be modding til I get old ? been thru 5 subies, 4 evos, 1 r32 gtr in last 8 years alone. Once I retire, collect that retirement, definitely some VA pay and hope to jump right back into a job on base as a GS position or contractor.
