I did a two pass wipe down with rubbing alcohol along the red stripe area to remove any dirt, oils, or wax before applying it. Since you have the ceramic coating, you'll have to see if it will stick. I don't think you'll have any issues.

The front and sides are way easy to do since they are straight lines but the rear with the curves, I had to use a heat gun to smooth out the ripples in a few spots.
Guys,
Concerned about possible long term impact to your lower garnish.. If this CF overlay does stick, with continued thermal cycling, it can disturb deeper layers, accelerating adhesion.

In other words, it’s possible that a year or three from now when you try to take off the CF layer of tape, (it does look nice but red fits my red R) it’s possible that the OEM red stripe embedded below could come off (all/some/none) with it. You can certainly clean up any residue with a variety of products but if you accidentally find a certain chemical combo, they can transfer, almost melt their surfaces and even layers below into each other. Even that would be fixable but quite messy and could result in having to put another layer (red or CF tape) on top. Not trying to be gloomy here but I have some work knowledge of similar events with plastics and adhesives. Best of luck!

This is definitely a possibility but I was not worried because it would be easy to replace eventually if I ever chose return to the factory red. (Highly unlikely for me, going to own this car indefinitely)

Installed my downforce solutions front splitter and side skirts today. Opted for the 6mm splitter and red trim all around. Just need to order the rear diffuser now.

Today I replaced my 2,400 mile OEM brake pads that squeak lots with Power-Stop Carbon Fiber & Ceramic Z23 pads all around. They make front Z26 pads but no rear ones yet, probably because any trim Civic ones will work and they don’t understand that I guess. I went with Z23s after realizing the Z26’s have metallic backs and are perhaps prone to squeaking and are overkill for daily driver street use. The Z23 have rubber back pads. Used a longer lasting silicone grease.

Replacement isn’t hard, studying YouTube vids helped learn anything unique. Discovering your Allen set skips 7mm, not a nice surprise. The single 3/8 inch x 7mm socket key drive vs entire new hex set was bad idea as it interferes with the brake line.

Also, the standard AutoZone caliper retractor block doesn’t fit the rear Honda caliper, too narrow. I had to borrow (buy & return tomorrow) an adjustable one and set it to fit the two intends on the caliper fascia so it can be cranked inward clockwise so be brakes fit (barely). My POS bargain jack started to leak and barely lifted by wheel 4, tried refill, no joy, it pukes it out and The seal is bad, what longevity do you want for $26, I hardly ever need one, aka Mr Hire It. Not learning, I got another cheap 2-ton repacked from Wally-Marty for $15, worked great, for how long though?

I can’t say if/how much better these pads are yet as home life prevented a break-in run. if same/similar to Honda pads and have no squeal & less dust, I’ll be happy.

Good choice in a crowded pad field Maybe . Just $78 total delivered via Summit Racing.

I had to take pics of stock rims cleaned and ceramic waxed before any new dust appears.

I got it from here.
OK, maybe I'm a dope. I clicked the HERE above, and bought the tape. It is 1/4". I looked at the stripe on my car, and it looks larger than 1/4". Did I click BUY to soon?

Had the defective rear window seals replaced under warranty. They have a tendency to curl and may leak someday. There are worse examples than this. An issue with 2017 & 2018 models.

No cost upgraded replacement, free of charge. Freeway Honda in Santa Ana took care of me.

the pin stripe is actually slightly smaller than 1/4". The 1/4" will fully cover it.
Do you mean the factory stripe, I thought it was 1/2 inch. Trying for confirm before I buy. I have 1/4 for something else and it’s really thin
