Had Krown rustproofing done since it's going to be my daily driver and NE Ohio has 4 seasons...Spring, Summer, Fall and SALT. Best was when they called me to let me know it was done and the lady goes "your baby is ready".

Swapped out my RV6 RMM, with the really cold weather hitting my car had too much vibration and resonance for me, especially in the morning when really cold. Since I daily it when the weather is nice it just started getting to me. I swapped the Perrin inserts into my original mount and installed it today. A real pain in the butt with my RV6 downpipe and 3" front pipe!! Well worth it though! Next to no vibrations, I can't believe how much more I like the car like this! Under hard acceleration it didn't wheel hop and it put the power down nicely. Great way to add control for super cheap! Definitely one of my favorite mods now. I thought I was just doing this for the winter but if it keeps everything under control when I change to a 18"wheel and sticky tire setup next spring I'm just going to leave it in there!

I am one who hates vibrations so I haven’t done the RMM swap. After reading your comments I will be order the Perrin inserts though.

Believe me, this is amazing....does what you want the RMM to do WITHOUT the constant vibrations. And for 30 something dollars....no brainer.

Or save 10 bucks and window-weld the dog bone, ghetto style. It’s a bit messy but I’m not feeling any additional NVH after it's done (takes 48 hrs to cure). But I agree, Perrin’s got a very cost-effective product.

Where do you jack up the motor/trans to do this? Or is that not necessary? Just unbolt and it slides out?

There are detailed instructions included with the Perrin inserts but the quick and dirty answer is you drop the aluminum tray and unbolt at the frame side and then the engine side. You don't have to support anything because this is a pitch mount, it controls the engine's tendency to rotate. You will still need to maneuver the mount out like anything else and you will have to pry here and there to get it out and back in after slipping the inserts in. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you do this BEFORE changing to a 3" front pipe because it is a very difficult proposition when that is in the way!

I had my buddy Tom at Honda install a new all season tire setup as I got about 11k out of the stock Contis. I went with Nankang NS-25 255/35/20 matched with Perrin 27mm spacers all around. Came out really nice and flush, only a slight rub over big dips in the road at higher speeds (SE PA highways are terrible). There is also a little bit of torque steer now but I knew that was going to happen because of the spacers. Next step is alignment to hopefully help with that.

Looks real good, now you need some mud guards to protect you from rock chips on your side panels

No I’m still on stock suspension, had plans to go on sift springs but I think I’m going to hold off for now.

Thanks! No I don’t and I’m out of town for the weekend, but I’ll get one for you ASAP
