Finally got around to installing this thicc boy. I used this video from Torq toolbox.

I have to say though it was a lot harder than I thought to take off the trim pieces. I was scared not to break anything and took my time, but gawd damn.

But it was worth it. Looks great and feels great to drive with. No more dirty alcantara (thinking I might just try selling it 🤓)

Trim pieces were definitely a pita. And the amount of ugga Dugga it took to get the wheel bolt off...

Looks great but being engineer brained, please help me understand the logic of a giant wang on a front wheel drive car, is it just for looks or to create ‘DOWNFARCE’ perhaps due to reverse tips? Careful, you could go airborne.

Looks great but probably -5 HP as the force exerted as the light reflects pushes on your ride, slowing it down. Heavy black tint could add HP as light is absorbed instead. 😵💫

Regardless of drivetrain layout, you need downforce on the backside of a vehicle, this is especially true when road racing or autocrossing. As you brake, accelerate, and corner, weight is shifting in all sorts of directions. Being FWD you wouldnt think it would be prone to spinning but you would be surprised how unstable the rear end can get.

But in his case, balancing out the downforce between an added splitter up front with something bigger in the rear isnt all that uncommon!

Just a quick 2.5 hour detail from myself and tucked away for the weekend. Waiting on yellow overlays to install (when they come to in).
