Best method is brush on epoxy caliper paint. G2USA has the nicest red I've ever seen. I used it on my s2k I had a few years back.Best Caliper Paint Kit, used it in my previous car and in my current Civic, durability is at least 3 years (Previous car). I applied 3 layers of paint coat (wait at least 25 minutes between coats)
Yeah no. Paint>plastic ugly covers.
lol...YEAH NO, not plastic. Formed aluminum on the caliper covers. Everyone Is entitled to their opinion ("ugly") but don't misinform people on a forum that relies on accurate info. I personally think the paint looks cheap, and if you put a Brembo sticker on there that is plain poser-ish. JMOYeah no. Paint>plastic ugly covers.
I should have worded my reply differently. My bad.lol...YEAH NO, not plastic. Formed aluminum on the caliper covers. That is awesome! Was the install straight forward?I bit the bullet and bought a HomeLink garage door opener off a Honda Pilot. I had to paint it black cause the only ones I've been able to find are grey, brown, or tan. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out and it was relatively easy to install too! Too bad Honda made a great car without one of the most common features on the market today and left us to do something about it.
It was pretty straight forward. I used this thread as a guide http://www.civicx.com/threads/oem-homelink-install.4683/. All you have to do is buy an overhead console, pop out the garage door opener, possibly paint it, and connect 4 wires to existing wires in your console. I hated to modify the wiring but since there's not an OEM harness that will connect to our cars I had to use quick connectors to splice into the wires. Hopefully no one will ever see it so it shouldn't be a warranty issue lol It's definitely worth it though! That is awesome! Was the install straight forward?
I would love one of this to get into my gated community.
Cool, thanks. Wonder if/when they'll realize that there isn't a Starbucks in the creek down the road.[Garmin updater video]
Sharing it. Might help some of you.
Those look nice! I always preferred lighter wheels on white cars. Great choice! Finally got my ENKEI SS05 Hyper Grey installed.
