Id like to know as well! most notably, do you need to install and use the aftermarket mic or can you integrate the built in honda mic to use with the head unit?
I've read somewhere on here that someone ran the aftermarket mic up into the mic spot in the car so you couldn't see the mic but it was still using the aftermarket mic.

pardon the noob question, but what's the difference between this and using a collinite 845?
I'm a noob too. But, from my understanding, the Collinite is more of a buffer/shine/wax? The ceramic coating hardens and creates a layer that lasts for years.

So long story short, the bluetooth in my sport hatchback is basically unusable because there is a constant crackling noise coming from the speakers every time a phone is connected. It only happens with bluetooth and Honda told me that the software on my phone is "too new" so there's nothing they can do, which is completely unacceptable from my perspective. But anyway, the only way I can see to fix it is to get a new head unit, I was thinking about this one. Any opinions?

Check out the LX radio replacement thread here. That's the one a few of us want and someone already installed. http://www.civicx.com/threads/lx-radio-replacement-thread.2116/
