Well after the better part of a year living with a big gaping hole where an emblem should be because the Ebay ad LIED and said I could reuse the emblem off my car I randomly stumbled across this post https://www.civicx.com/forum/thread...ng-or-just-for-looks.26106/page-8#post-730457 and said hey I can get that emblem holder off Amazon for $15 and see how it fits, well it fit, so then I ordered a badge and retaining clips off Ebay for another $15 and finally I have a completed badge assembly to install the next time I pull the front bumper. for those like me (and the guy whose post I linked) the parts you are looking for to fill the badge on the ebay mesh grill are the pieces for a 06-08 Civic Sedan. Ebay Grille in question is pictured in the last photo, the emblem holder simply clicks into the grille on the sides and bottom and is then held from being popped out by a retaining screw.

Well after a rolling object smashed my right side "Honeycomb" front vents at 70+ mph on the freeway...I have decided to do a 2020 "refresh" with the new front trim. I kind of wanted to try something different and was nervous about not being able to pull off the Rally Red look on my white hatch. I really like the end result. ??

Looks great. While you had it off, were you able to see if that red accented part comes off easily? I have a white Si and was thinking about wrapping it in CF.

Thanks! I did notice the red accented part were firmly locked in place by several small screws and mini clips on the back side. It's very firmly locked in place but I'm sure it should come off once you unclip and remove the screws.

So I took my car in for some routine maintenance. Oil change, rotation, CVT fluid change. Don't yell at me guys. My back is shot and my shadetree mechanic days are over.

Anyway, things were going well in the waiting room until the service advisor came out. Turned out I was leaking some oil through the timing belt tensioner cover. The good news is it's fixable under warranty. Bad news is I needed to leave it there overnight.

My loaner is a CRV. Not too bad to drive actually. Decent power from the 1.5 turbo. Much quieter inside and no rattles like my Civic.

One last piece of news. I had the dealer install that Si rear sway bar I had forever. Looking forward to getting my car back and testing it out on some curvy roads.

Lucky you that only the vent was affected. Mine accident was on the left side and affected the bumper, insurance helped, and body shop just put on a new bumper, I should have go with the 2020 vents though... Now I'm paying extra to do the swap ?

Technically from the other night but I got a new bottle of griots best of show detailer spray and it helped me get cleaned up right before a meet. I know multiple brands offer similar products, this is just my personal experience with griots and it was nice to see how it turned out.

Nice and I think the swap is worth the money If your budget is not an issue. Actually the object also left a nasty black scrap mark on the front bumper on the side but I managed to buff it out and now you cant even tell it got hit from the side ??

So they had no issue installing the sway bar? I've been wanting to swap out my stock horn for the Accord horn, or whatever everyone here gets from College Hills Honda. But don't feel confident in removing the bumper. I figure since it's a factory Honda part, I was wondering if Honda dealers would do the install.
