It's a secret for now but people are "unloading" their crap 2020 Si wheels for cheap. Suckers. The prices are going to raise soon because these wheels are nice looking. Could be lighter, though.
Yeah, not buying used... My original wheels took a rock and put a scratch in the black paint within 2 weeks of buying the car.

BTW, anyone want to buy a set of gently used 18x8 2020 ST Hatch wheels cheap? LOL!!:nixon:

I was thinking about making my windshield washer cap red or black - I would either use vinyl or plastic-dip.

Anyone done this or what do you think would look best? The blue just kind of doesn't match anything, while I realize it's blue because of the fluid type it's not hard to know what it is either without being blue.

(Sorry for the pic size, not able to currently take better pics just some reference shots)

Feel free to DM me with any suggestions. I'm always open to ideas, I bounced a lot of ideas off of other Civic owners creating my build.

I will never see my WW cap the same again. Fortunately my car is blue.

Try Krylon Fusion spray paint for plastic (Sun Dried Tomato?). Probably more sturdy than plasti-dip. Lowes carries it, as do many other home improvement stores. Heat resistant to 600 F.

Doors done... front speakers in.

Honda Hack *just* finished... trying to read up and install that Viper4Android goodness...
How do the speakers sound (or do you have them turned off so you can hear the lack of rattles)?

Honestly... they sounds really... really good. I’m sitting in my car now with the HondaHack done trying to figure out how to get viper4android on here. There feels like there’s a lot more “energy” in the air. Toms and snares in music are super crisp. Mids and highs have woke up a lot. Lots more nuance to the music. I’m no audiophile but it’s a huge improvement. Bass was mildly improved but I wasn’t expecting much from the speakers I got.

I created 2 variables by doing the doors and the speakers at the same time so I can’t say which made the larger difference. Everything I’ve heard is the lows are crushed in our cars due to the stock EQ settings. I know we have that infinite baffle sub that seems dead... but I’m going to see if I can bring it to life. As soon as I can figure out getting this program running... I’m going to let it rip...

Congrats. So, now in my zeal to copy your every move these days, should I hack it and Viper it? I had V4A on previous phones and it did make a difference. Do you recommend the Honda Hack and V4A or not worth the trouble?

I’ve done so much at one time it’s hard to say what it would do on a car w/out deadening on a totally stock system. For $25... the cost is pretty low to give it a shot. You’re not going to get any kind of sharp bass response from this IB sub from what I’ve gathered in my little bit of playing and having had a few of that style before. It does however fill in some lows that the front speakers can’t (shouldn’t) fill.

Still messing around with it though. Just threw on Netflix for a whirl. My inner dork made me play a battle heavy episode of Star Trek TNG. It’s kind of neat how it’s mixed up across the speakers. I have a 2.1 surround with some ELAC speakers in the house and a decent sub... but I’m so far away the stereo tends to blend. In the car... it sounds more separated. The “shots” are very “crunchy“ on the sound system. The ambient “space ship” sounds across the speakers with that sub working really fill the car with white noise. I noticed it earlier with some old Rob Zombie. Just a lot more energy in the car with that it had before.

I did play with the V4A settings and found a pile of settings... but running a HIFI filter... the EQ on R&B with the bass bumped slightly and some bass boost added but not enough to make the sub stand out really filled the car nicely. I’m a cheap guy... but I’d give it a try. It certainly won’t sound any worse than stock ?
