Got around to installing my type R rear sway bar on my sport hatch last weekend. Absolutely loving it. A lot of reduction in body roll on corners. Steering feels more direct to me. Maybe it's just me (I like a little bit of oversteer). No offence to Progress, but their pricing is out to lunch. $183 for progress at 20.6mm, or $71 for type R at 20.5mm. Was a no brainer.

It only cost me $550 in material to do my entire Civic in Plasti-dip. I did it because the rock chips were driving me nuts. Best decision I ever made for my car.

Gotta say, when I first saw pics of your car, I was sure it was wrapped. You got a wicked colour out of that plastidip.

You think the progress bar is overpriced? Ultra Racing wants $380 for their 19mm rear sway bar.

no matter how long and hard I look at it I cannot conceive of what that bar across the top from one strut tower to the other can possibly accomplish. It's obviously free to rotate, up and down, at each end.

Stiffens the front end of the chassis. Prevents the chassis from flexing too much while cornering. Imo you'll feel it more with a rear sway bar.

definitely worth it! it's only $17 plus shipping.
Is there any particular reason why they say it won't fit the 5 door, si, or type R??? I can't imagine any of those would have a different horn or different harness connector. :dunno:

Filled my tank with 87. $27 dollars now with 30mi left.

Who lets their fuel light come on before fill up?
I used to but I read it lets water into the fuel system if you get condensation on your tank.

Might be because of the bumper. I don't know why that would make a difference, but all those models share the same front bumper.

There's already a horn thread started in General.

there's already a fuel economy thread too. I'm not posting a how to, this is what I did to my civic today.

Do i have to remove it? Or is it fine just leaving it there?
I would remove it, just so the bar mount sits flush to the tower. espscially since that OEM plate does not look flat and would cause the other plate to warp if it were torqued down
