I got to drive past a waterfall and didn't have to even go to paradise! Having the dash cam does record some "interesting" situations.

It looks like one of the cars stuck in the lake is either a new 11th gen civic (or Accord or Camry or 328i as they all look similar from that angle in a blurryish video).

Have been doing these since last weekend.
Took my passenger side wheels to the shop for repair, meanwhile, I have my car jacked up with spare tires on (I use my other car's spare too, that's why I have 2 jacks and 2 spare tires)

While the car is on it's "leave", I decided to go on with the Honda Access Puddle Light project. Running the wire is relatively easy, once again, I prove that the accessory port at the fuse box works, even though the kit says it is made for 2019+ model years, it works just fine on my 2018. I'm embarrassed to say the hardest part of this project is to pop the side skirts off, I did follow the instruction, took off all the clips and screws, and attempt to slide it forward, but my weak arm just can't move it, so I called a friend for help, and it took him like 2 seconds and they're off lol

I'm being overly cautious here and taking my time, so even though I started since the weekend, it is still in progress, just right now I finished the installs on the skirts, and I'll wash everything well before I put it back on, that's for another day.

Picture time!

Right arrow is where the kit gets power from - the accessory port, left arrow is what the kit expanses, a new port for other accessories, like the wireless phone charger.

Skirt-less FK7 with the harness hanging, just need to clean it up and plug it on

The skirts with the puddle lights on, drilling holes are way easier with a cordless drill, and the Dremel do the cutting just fine

While running the harness, I broke a clip on the passenger front kick panel, thought it's a good time to also put on the emergency flare (Genuine Honda mount + Amon LED flare), that's what I interpret "JDM mod" lol as this is what cars in Japan have :D

Gotta wash it very soon and see how it lights up :)

O yea, one more thing, College Hill did exclude the Hatchback Sport/Sport Touring for application (https://www.collegehillshonda.com/2017-2021-honda-civic-hatchback-accessories/08V27-TBA-100.html). From what I can tell, it is probably because the sport skirt does not have the marking, and the template would not line up with it. There's also not any structure to tight up that short loose harness, but the harness is going to stay inside the skirt for sure, and just use common sense to locate the template, make sure both sides are on the same location, then the rest can just follow the instruction.

Looking good! Don't give more ideas. I just bought a spare set of headlights for a retrofit. Though at least now I know why there was an opel hole when I routed my dash cam wire under the door sill (unless there is a plug missing).

I applied back to black on the black plastic. And, there is a car show in town today and as I passed by our only Mexican restaurant in town, what do I see? 2 beauties! In a town of only 4,000, definitely rare to see 1 let alone 2.

You know it's a car forum when you read this and immediately think of Type R's instead of, you know, some other kind of beauties.

Finally wrapped up something today :)

First of all, it's been so hot and sunny lately, and this weather is constantly giving me excuses to not do anything outside... So I invested in this Walmart Canopy, really saved me from being baked alive lol

Skirt-less FK7 with plastic bags covering the puddle light harness, wash it all while the skirts are off.
Honda Civic 10th gen What did you do to your Civic today? (II) 20220730_162319

In the middle of it, I moved the car out of the Canopy and move the skirts in, washed them really well, then found a few fine scratches, so I used some Meguire's off-the-shelf compound and polish to better it a bit.

After the wash and putting everything back together

I dug in my gadgets pile and found these Modulo emblems and Mugen Door Mirror stickers, always want to put them on, now is a perfect time!

Beautiful! this is exactly what I expect, success it is.

After everything, I remember in the gadget pile I also have this ATC leather top mark tape sitting around (got it from Rakuten JP), let's put it on.

Installed a pair of Kicker 47ksmt2504 also known as Kicker Snowman today. Sound inside the cabin is improved.

Any trouble with the vapor barrier? I'm about to pull the trigger on some Dyanamt to line the outer door skin.

My hood was looking fairly pitted by rock chips and scratches from commuting so I stopped by Limitless Auto Lab in Stanhope NJ. He wrapped my hood in 3M carbon in about 30 mins. Reasonable on price and very accommodating on time. Start to finish about 30 mins. Some before and after pics attached. Going back for headlight wrap to break up the murdered out black on black.
