Thursday: Installed TSP ARP head studs. Used the one at a time method using @MetalKnightCivicHB 's go-by. So far so good.

Friday: ETL CVT cooler using a Hayden 697 cooler. Cooler has thermal bypass built in. So far Temps have been about 25 degrees cooler.

Saturday: Seibon OE style carbon Hood. Fitment is pretty good, not 100% OEM like, but pretty good and better than expected.

This is what was done to the FK7 recently. First start up and drive to check for leaks and will put the trim pieces back on.

Just some little aesthetics. Chrome delete is coming along, just need to do the wheels.

Still waiting for the grille to come in before I do horns/headlights.

Took the Civic out for a touchless wash! I also recently Plasti-dipped my roof black to see if I'd like it, and I absolutely love it. Gonna get a gloss black wrap at some point soon.

Oh yeah, have a video of the Civic clearing its throat after the wash today!

Attempted to adjust the SS3 without removing the bumper so I don't incurr the wrath of oncoming pick up trucks. Unfortunately, the adjustment screw is hidden by the by the fog light enclosure. If only I had an Si front bumper...

After the last wash couple weeks ago, I've been driving my other car to commute around, because I like my FK7 clean (too much). Just finished refreshing the air filters and blower motor (annual maintainance), along with the recent oil change and CVT fluid change, I guess it's about time to take it out again :D I shall wash the van first, then have it rest in the garage clean.

Is there annual maintenance recommended for our blower motors? Is it difficult to remove and replace?

I don't see anywhere that recommend doing this annually, but since I'm there I thought why not :)

It isn't that bad to remove:
-pull down the bottom cover which is only held by like 4 clips on one side
-unplug the harness on the center of the blower motor, there are 2 wire retainers keeping the wire look tidy, undo them with a flat head screw driver
-3 screws on the edge of the blower motor unit, undo them

-I washed mine with all purpose cleaner (like 409), with a small soft brush to agitate on the fins, avoid letting where the plug goes get wet, there's also a hole here, I'd avoid letting water in as well (yes, I washed the white part only, and while it's still attached to the black part)

-After it's all done, I sprayed some fabric cleaner on it, I know it won't stay for long, but just a finishing touch to guarantee a good first smell 😆
-then put it back together

When the dirty water streams out from the first rinse, I know it's a good thing to do, not saying it's a must though 😁

Went and got my oil changed today. Owned the car since Sept 2020, and 19k on the odometer. First time in my life, and most likely the last, that I paid $70 for a basic oil change.

Told the dealer I was in a rush, needed the oil done, nothing else, since I needed to rush back to work. Of course, he must haven't have heard me say that 3 times, and figured that I had extra time so he had the tech pull both air filters for him to bring in and try to upsell me.

Did a license plate mod by Erick FK8 on YouTube. I ended up using my own license plate holder though, just drilled a few new holes. Seems solid so far but I'll see over time. Still need to get rid of the ugly holes left by the initial drilling into the car bumper; by the dealership I'm guessing.

This is one of the easiest, cheapest, and nice looking mods thus far so I'd recommend it to everyone who wants their car to look a tad nicer and attract the attention of other car guys :confused1:.

The blacked out roof looks great on the lighter colors (white and silver) especially on the hatch and coupe. I'm debating this on my silver SI sedan.

Thank you! I didn't do a great job applying the plasti-dip to the roof, so it looks weird and it was rather annoying to peel off yesterday, but the black roof does look good IMO. Once I get it wrapped gloss black, I'll be sure to post more pictures of it. ChrisTimeFK7 did a whole video on wrapping his roof, and another video on his hood, black that I suggest people check out.

At long last, I had time to install my Seibon hood.

A couple of pointers for anyone looking to do the same:

1. You're gonna need a helper, bottom line. You just won't be able to line it up without another person. I tried for awhile and just had my wife come outside and it was done in a minute.

2. If it doesn't line up good, don't worry, it slides forward, back, side to side quite a bit on the factory hood hinges. You'll get it flush.

3. The factory window washer fluid nozzles just plain don't fit well in the openings. I ended up losing the passenger side one INSIDE the hood. The only way to get it out is gonna be to shake the hood (off the car) till it comes down to the big opening by the hood prop hole. I just can't bring myself to take it back off right now. For now, the stupid sprayer hose is just taped in place. I only drive this car on the weekend anyway so it'll prob be like this for a long time.

4. I saw someone else on here wrap the exposed carbon with reflective tape. I did the same. I think it looks cool and will protect the clear coat from the hot ass turbo.

I think it looks pretty good. Next step is my Mugen kit.
