Wrapped the cowl up to reduce glare. Alcantara is nice to look at but my hyperhidrosis hands might not agree in Texas heat.

A couple weekends ago I carved out a hole in the front radar cover in order to give my CAI more airflow.

I've spent the last couple weeks and 700ish miles testing out the ACC and the emergency brake feature. So far so good, the ACC works just fine and the emergency brake hasn't activated in any uncommon situation.

It's even made it through a car wash!

Gave the Civic a bath, and installed my new PRL Race intake! Shoutout to @Two Step Performance for hooking me up with the intake and fast shipping, and @phearable for the MAF swap for my 1.5R tune! Two great companies making people smile 😄

That’s cool I really want to do this! What did you use to cut? And where you get the mesh?

I used my Dremel to cut the initial hole. I don't use it too often so it was a little rough so I had to sand it down to be more presentable of a hole. (This dremel)

This is the mesh I bought. I got the 4x8mm Rhombic pattern. It comes in all sorts of patterns, colors and hole sizes. Then I used some JB weld in a bead along the edges to hold the mesh in place. I used some grey JB weld that I had on hand, but I would recommend getting some black to better match the plastic and mesh in case it gets pushed over the edge like mine did a little.

I also purchased an extra new radar cover from my local dealership. Part #7119-TGG-A50 This way if there were any issues you can just swap the new cover in for the old one. I might try doing mine over but take my time with this one to make it look a little neater. Feel free to message me if you have questions!

washed the grey one for the first time in ages (no I don’t care about automated car washes) and finally a new part has arrived...

You may want to reconsider that after this is installed... That clear coat is super high gloss! Scratching it up would be a shame.

Detuned the car recently to check out the numbers, so far safe to say it seems to run better without a tune. I sort of expected it to run the same considering the claim that stock runs worse or that a lot of time is put into base tunes, but it didn't, k.con and k.count are better than they ever were on a good day tuned. Not to dog on anyone. I also washed my car, it looks beautiful when clean.

Not sure if I like or not. I’m toying with the idea of gettin the red trim and paint matching to white when I get my Mugen kit painted next month…

Quick question,

when you installed that grille did the regular hatchback emblems fit perfectly or did you have to get a different size emblem?
