Well, I filled out a form on the chain's website. Cross my fingers that this leads to something... The shop was good up until this happened.
Did you buy the tires from them or did you buy them elsewhere and just have this shop install them for you?
If you bought them from this shop, there is no excuse. They need to replace this tire. It either came from the factory like that or they damaged it during install.

I bought the tires from them. Ffs, up to today, I only drove 30+ miles with this set... which includes driving to the shop and back for the third time this week.

Yeah, this is on them...100% I agree that they probably nicked it and thought they'd just flip them around and you'd never notice. You definitely do not want a weak spot in your side wall...especially since they're brand new!

Maybe. My guess is that the tech was in a hurry to rectify his mistake during my second visit. But it's impressive to miss the "inside" clearly written on the sidewall. And install all four tires backwards... I'll give him some benefit of the doubt.

46 mpg. When you treat it right it treats you right. To think I could have 550 miles on a tank… crazy. Just lifting and coasting to stops, driving the speed limit, using ECON mode, and keeping it at 1500-2000 RPM. 87 octane with ethanol.

Shop manager reached out. Says he can look at them on Saturday. Though I still have my reservations.

Edit: On a tangent, does anyone think the 3d gen Insight's 3rd brake light will fit? Or can anyone provide a close up?

Replaced my ebay smoked side markers with some Unity Performance ones. Smoke with amber LED. That sequential startup is kinda fckin cool

To distract myself from my tire issues...Suma Performance mirrors installed.

Installation took a bit longer than expected. Passenger side went on fine. The driver's side fought hard. Took nearly an hour trying to realign the prongs with the plastic gears after repeated testing. Almost had a heart attack when I saw one tooth on the gear bent. Hopefully I don't have to buy another mirror assembly.

I replaced my intercooler and out in a catted downpipe. Started the car when one side was up on jacks. Threw a bunch of codes. Gonna unplug the battery for a few seconds and plug it back in and drive around. Hoping that will take the codes off and then tune the car tonight. We’ll see how that goes!

Assuming you're tuned, there are a couple downpipe related codes you can disable to prevent the CELs.

For no good reason, decided to spruce up my under-appreciated, dull plastic OEM dead pedal. Some other folks in the forum have found a guy on Etsy that makes a quality cover:

https://www.etsy.com/listing/584567...6-2017-2018-2019?ref=shop_home_active_1&crt=1

The only downside is that the tape that came with it isn’t that great… mine came off the pedal just trying to peel the paper backing off, so go buy some indoor/outdoor mounting tape from the hardware store to save yourself the disappointment.

Anyway, I think it looks great! It probably fits 99% perfectly, a few sides of it aren’t exactly covering the original pedal, but you’d only notice with a flashlight and your head in the footwell. It made me giddy to stand back and look at it from beside the car. Matches the OEM aluminum pedals quite well.
