Just finished a minor change, I adapted this idea from some posts from minkara, to replace the rear wiper and arm to the ones from the GB5-8 2nd Gen Freed, for a smooth arm look.
https://minkara.carview.co.jp/userid/473839/car/2672325/9563083/parts.aspx

The swap is straight forward, just open the end cap, lose the 10mm nut, and put the new one on.
One thing I'm a little concern, is that on the new arm, the mounting hole doesn't seem to have the needed teeth as the original one, but I go ahead put it on and torque it to 6.9 lb-ft as stated in this document (https://www.civicx.com/forum/attachments/torque-specs-si-and-type-r-docx-pdf.138232/), then tried it and it feels solid and operational, I'll continue to observe.

Differences outside of the appearance, it also uses a 350mm blade (completely different on the mount), but I guess the mount is slightly shorter, so it won't cover as wide as the original, the difference is really minor though.

Here are the needed part numbers:
76720-TDK-003:ARM REAR WIPER
76730-TDK-003:BLADE REAR WINDOW
3D SUD350 PIAA Silicone replace blade insert (optional)

Of course, the Freed is only available outside of North America (Asia only?)So I get these parts through Suzuki Motors on Rakuten https://www.rakuten.co.jp/suzukimotors/

While gathering info for this post, I've also found another guy swapping the FL1 11th Gen Hatchback's on, which I assume will be easier to get parts as it's coming to the States. Indeed, I just searched it is available lol
76720-T43-003 Arm msrp $18.01
76730-T43-003 Blade msrp $14.38
(Definitely cheaper than the Freed route? o well...)

woahhhhh I LOVE mods like this, great job! So is the swap to the 11th gen part just that simple? No other components needed (than the arm and blade)? I'll pick those up immediately!

I believe so, those parts are the arm and blade, so it should have everything needed ?

I installed a new left-side rear lower control arm after mine took a beating when I went over a curb. I also installed SPC aluminum camber arms, Whiteline toe arms, and Whiteline 22mm rear sway bar. The problem now is that no shop wants to do my alignment. The only shop that will do it didn't do a good job the last time, so they aren't an option.

That is unfortunate brother, Iā€™m sorry to hear youā€™re struggling with that. If you donā€™t mind my asking, what state do you reside in? I may be able to find a connect for you. Let me know.

Good point brother. Do the tires first you donā€™t want to have to worry about the tire rubbing. I just did D2 springs on my SI a couple of weeks ago. Itā€™s pretty low so I wouldnā€™t recommend those with the tire set up! Maybe some Eibachs. Ahh keep the forum posted man, I love those hatchā€™s! ā˜
Tires don't look to bad on it, little bid wider than stock (225/50s instead of 215/50s) and with the D2 or even TruHarts, I can get a ~2" drop and have a flush fit. Need to take some pictures in AM. Spent a good while at work today with all the work I've done.

Does the engine cover underneath really do anything? My car never came with it. I think I'd just try a junk yard unless you guys have better ideas.

Define "engine cover"? Do you mean the underbody spoiler section that covers the engine? If so, it provides slightly better aerodynamics under the car, improving mileage. I know Sport and Sport Touring have the full underbody spoiler. I'm not sure if EX/LX has it.

Thanks for the offer. I ended up going with my last option. They did a good job this time.

Our last day in Oklahoma we went back up to Turner Falls. Not much water falling now. For the whole month we were here it only sprinkled lightly twice.
