What did you do to your Civic today? (II)

Added Lamin-x fog lamp covers, rear reflector smoked covers, and signal/reverse covers. They don’t make a “unibrow” cover for the tail lights, but I’d go lighter anyway. This is fine… also added a rear spoiler at the top of the rear window… jury’s still deliberating… any thoughts?

Holy curb rash, Batman.

As far as the roof spoiler, I've gone back and forth on this myself. My conclusion is they look best combined with a large-ish trunk spoiler. But hey, it's all subjective.

removed the Caruse Design aeroflap. was a total pita. if you ever install one be sure you like it 100% as it sucked removing it. buffed and polished the wing with a few scratches from removing it left over... battle scars i suppose.

also added the eibach rear subframe brace and replaced the whiteline rear endlinks with the eibach rear endlinks that came with the brace.

liqui-moly molygen 5w30 oil change. GREEN OIL!

you cant see it unless you are under the car so i didnt bother taking any pics. i will say you should get the eibach lower control arms if you do install it as they were taken off at the time.

Unlocked a new noise!

Going over normal bumps in the road at 20-30 mph now results in a fun thunk coming from the front end. Standing on the door sill and rocking the car also makes this noise.

Really not sure what it could be ... the whole engine-trans-subframe assembly were all out just a couple weeks ago, but this noise has only presented itself as of yesterday.

Too cold (and too lazy) at the moment to go outside and jack the car up to shake down the suspension. Damn you, Chicago weather!

You had the suspension apart 2 weeks ago? If so I would think something didn't get torqued enough.

I got the tint done yesterday but it was too dark in the afternoon to take pics. 20% fronts, 5% rears. First car I ever got tint on. Really like the look a lot.

yeah haha the shop i had do my clutch and head gasket doesn't seem to be very thorough, not to mention being awful with communication.

Anyways i brought my car in to my shop to rack it up and it was indeed the end link. Since the shop had the subframe off, i had them install my Whiteline sway bar and end links, both of which are adjustable. It turned out that one of the retaining nuts for the adjusting part of the end link was just completely loose. Tightened it up and voila, no more clunk.

I did notice though that they put one of the end links upside down; one of the nuts is 16 and the
other is not. On the drinker's side, the 16mm nut is on the bottom, but on the driver's side it's on top.
Still works though so no real concern as of yet.

Cleaned the FK7 up today! Used some Meguiar's Quik Detailer spray all over the car, cleaned my rims and windows also. Did an oil change today too, 6,000 miles since last one (third one done so far), air filter looks good this time. Also updated Ktuner and because I was simply bored reflashed my Phearable 1.5R tune and adjusted the quick settings a little. Pictures to come!
