My God, I can't believe no one responded to this post! Yours is the first I've seen of the 1.5T head off. Carbon buildup doesn't look bad at all!
How many miles on your Si? What did you do to the head, stronger springs?

Carbon build up was fine. Everything was actually perfect. I am at 20k km. Just steel springs and retainers on the head. Will put a built block back with arp head studs.

Took her camping. 500kms trip. Average 6.1l/kms with full camp gear (tents,coolers, etc) was a good test of the eibach pro kit and whiteline sway bar. Vs my hfp springs. The pro kit rides tigher, car feels like it’s planted more, ride quality is still smooth, negligible difference in stiffness. It’s only day on them so let’s see how they ride after they settle.

I blew my engine 2 years ago, replaced the block and left her there to die after she wouldn’t start. Turned out I did everything right , for some reason the clutch sensor wouldn’t make connection until now ! lol . Had a friend come look at it and he got it to start away. I must have reconnected that sensor a 100 times but was never successful. That or mechanics don’t reveal their secrets lol , but either way . I finally got my civic running again . That’s what I did to my civic today.

1 year and 15k miles today with my 2020, and what a difference that year has made!

Here is me (at 100 lbs. heavier than I am now) trading in my '17 EX for the '20 ST. It's the only bone stock photo I have of it. The side markers and plasti-dipped emblems happened as soon as I pulled it into my garage.

2 weeks later I got tinted windows and took my baseline comparison pic. An avalanche of mods later, it's hard to believe it's the same car! Check the showcase for the setup so far. Still loving these FK7's as much as I did when I bought my '17!

From here, I should note that either I installed them wrong or the front badge is a little smaller than the trim so there's a little gap on the outsides.

Changed the oil pan gasket on my wife's 04 LX, that we picked up about 1 month ago.. With help from my neighbor, it took about 4 hrs total. Followed a vid on YouTube and got her done. As far as I could tell, rod bearings were pretty tight, I think the engine is OK. Not bad for a 62 year old fart who can still wrench on cars.

About 6,000 miles since the 26K miles 2017 blown OEM engine was replaced with the used salvage yard 46K miles 2016 engine with the addition of the W1 big turbo. Still having fun, just dragged it in from the East Coast, still getting the occasional random P0299 code.

I got a chance to put those carbon fiber door handle overlays back on. This time with real 3M acrylic tape. Also switched back to my subtle roof lip spoiler.

Got my Acura style high flow grille.

Debating the red H badge, I know there’s some on here who think it should be reserved for Type R.

I’m not going to install until my Intercooler arrives, supposed to be around the end of the month - I want to reduce the amount of times the front bumper comes off.. the clips are so easy to break…
