Exciting day today. My 18" P3 anthracite wheels and DWS06 rubber came in. Not only do they look great, I weighed the combo on my digital bathroom scale and it weighed in at 42.8 pounds. That's about 5.5 pounds less per corner than the stock 17" combo. 22 pounds less unsprung weight should be noticeable.

It will be a bit before I get these installed and I definitely want to try to track down Honda center caps for them soon.

Took a wheel outside to see how it might look with the Cosmic Blue. That sort of light gunmetal with the dark blue is perfect.

Also a shout out to Tire Rack. They were shipped fast and were packaged perfectly.

Wow that seems really light, those tires must be like 22lbs. They look good, want to see them on the car. Did you actually weigh the stockers too? I have mine coming tomorrow too and am going to weigh both to compare.

Looking good! What are the specs? Did the tire come mounted on directly from tire rack?

To answer some of the questions. Yes, the tires and wheels came as a package from Tire Rack (hub rings and lug nuts included)

As far as the stock 17 weight, there's a sticky here from the admin that they weighed in at 48.2 pounds.

As far as the combo I bought, the tires only weigh around 21 pounds from all sources I can find. Meaning the wheels actually weigh around 21.8 pounds (Tire Rack lists the weight at 20.7). Surprisingly for a $150 18x8 wheel, they are low pressure cast, not gravity cast.

I went with the very conservative 215/45-18 size for a bunch of reasons. One of the main ones being I use one tire year round and deal with snow so narrow is better. Also it's lighter and cheaper and then there's one cool trick...

A 215 is about as narrow as you can go on an 8" wheel. So this tire is right before the point of being stretched. The benefit? Well... the DWS06 tires are known for excellent traction and a great ride. But they do have somewhat soft sidewalls. This setup will stiffen that a bit for better handling.
