Why is Nardo gray so popular all of a sudden?
I think it's just kind of a newer color that bridges the gap between the most popular car colors, (black/white/silver/gray). I watched a car review that had a BMW I think with a similar color and they just called the color "2018" hahah which I think is perfect because clearly just about every manufacturer is making their own version. I'm a sucker for it though.

its a close replica to hondas sonic grey
There's a sub-reddit for car wraps and at least once a week there's someone getting nardo gray on something. It's a fine color, but it's popping up everywhere.

That ice blue without metallic flake would be interesting.

Installed another shift knob today to try out. Another AliExpress special. Cost me $8 bucks and it’s surprisingly nice. Going to try it for a bit before deciding to stick with it or going back to my type R knob.

*Update*

I’m sticking with this knob. It’s the perfect height & size and makes shifting very enjoyable. Classic Honda/Acura look, and I like the feel of the flat top of the knob for my thumb. Goes well with the colour of the car and my Acuity shift boot collar

If anyone else wants this knob, just search AliExpress:

Enjoy (and save some $ ?) !

The black mirrors will look great on your car. The black gas door, not so much, IMO. It just stands out too much but not in a good way.

Got my car back from a buddy that does wraps - went from black to nardo gray, smoked side markers, tinted fog lights, chrome delete, and w/ accent roof and rear lip. Swapped stock wheels for enkei’s and coils are on the way!

Indeed! They’re a long ways from the days of crappy wax from a green and yellow container. I personally use Seal N Shine and the beading is phenomenal. It’s super easy to apply and lasts for a couple of months
The Hybrid Solutions products from Turtle Wax are phenomenal. Very easy to apply and the beading is even better with droplets within droplets and in many areas complete sheeting of water. I have used the Seal N Shine for at least a year and I know it has longevity. The Hybrid Solutions has been on the paint for only two months therefore I do not have any reports on longevity.
