What did I do? I traded it in on a Toyota Tacoma. I knew when I bought the Si , that I'd probably miss my truck. The Si was the most fun I've had driving a car,but I needed and missed my Toy truck. So, its gone now and I'm in this.

Did my first DIY oil change. 21k miles on a 2018 EX-L hatch. Oil changes were done previously at a Honda shop a block away from work. I figure that I’ll save about $100 every 3 oil changes.

Also changed out the CVT fluid with Amsoil. What came out was a dark amber/honey color. Not black like I have seen in some vids. I’ll change the CVT fluid again at the next oil change so that most of the original fluid is out. I Like how easy it is to change the CVT fluid while doing the oil. I used the check fill bolt method. Just over 4 quarts went in.

I tried to install a 27Won intake, but failed. I dunno what I am doing wrong but that air box was not going to go in. Too much stuff in the way. I’ll check in with the 27Won folks in the coming week for some guidance.

Bought a small JIS driver set to add to my tool collection. I noticed the two front screws holding the skid plate cover seem to use the JIS standard, like other members have noted as used on the air filter box housings of non-Type R models.

Solid truck, and will hold its value a lot better, too. Enjoy it.

If I was still in my 20s I’ll jump at the chance to detail your car but now at 52 it’s getting hard to do my own car. Quite a few months ago @silverrascal
Posted a thread about Meguiar’s hybrid ceramic spray wax I was skeptic about spray waxes until I saw the pics of his sonic grey hatch and the results were awesome so I tried it myself self with great results I’ve tried other products afterwards but I didn’t like the results I went back with the Meguiar’s

Added HFP badges to the lower Rockers. Honda Part# 08F20-TS9-100A. You can order these from the dealer parts department. Mine were 24.40 but I had a 15% discount coupon!

Changed the oil yesterday. Got a little over 5,000 miles on the mm this time, my trips are all extremely short.
The oil still had a slight Amber color it. Wondering if it's due to the mobile one filter I started using.
surprisingly, in the climate I'm in and with my short trips,I didn't notice any fuel smell in the oil and my level didn't rise much if at all.
