Sat at a dead stop for 3 hours on I20 last night at the GA/AL line. Big wreck. Saw a couple 10th gens sitting in line as I walked up and down the shoulder, not sure any of y’all are here. I had my engine covers in the trunk waiting to install so I put them on while waiting in traffic Sounded easy, but guess what? I have hood struts and forgot how much of a pain the front mounts are! Didn’t lose any nuts or washers this time lol. Did have to drill a hole in the driver side cover for the hood strut mount, not too bad. People were watching me probably thinking”wtf is this guy doing ?

Also installed window visors: AutoClover made in Korea. They are 6-pieces, so they cover the quarter glass trim as well. Window visors plus chrome delete in one mod. They were $96 when I bought them and they are now $116 (eBay link here). Very well made. It was worth the price.

Sucks you have to work on Sunday. We stocked up yesterday, cause it started snowing at 3pm, it's still snowing with about 10 inches already. Staying home today!

Put a switch to turn off the ambient lights:


It's quite easy to install these switches to control any device like a subwoofer, lights and so on. They are available on Amazon for example.

Finally received my Insight Leather trim pieces and put them on, also put Killmat on the inside of all the doors. Love the trim pieces, pretty easy to put them on, and the car is .

quieter (I have a stretch of road to test them on later with a decibel meter phone app). I still have the leather door card wraps to put on, but I'm not feeling as confident about that

Tested the car on that stretch of road, and it is about 7db quieter - considering that most of the noise is from the tires that's a pretty good improvement. The noise reduction is even more apparent on smoother roads.
