Came to Honda for oil change and tire rotation. My car has 45.000 miles. They said i'll need new tires in last service. They quoted around $1900 it was in february. And I got $605 for Good Year tires and around $800 for continental tires. And he said that they have campaign buy 4 tires get 1 free.
so I ended up buying good year. Still waiting at dealership. Let's see!
So, whatcha gonna do with that fifth wheel?
Not sure why anyone buys tires from the stealership but I hope it works out for you.

I was thinking the same thing lol. Must have been a "Buy 3 get 1 free" deal.
Now that would make sense but I am very literal and assume people mean what they say (or type). so...

I misunderstood the guy ?it was buy 3 get 1 free. I checked online for the same tire before saying yes. It was same price. So I let them done tire replacement. I wanna keep my car's value. It's argumentative but I think that clean service records will help keeping value. Other way I also don't like dealerships...

now i have question. I ask the service guy $144 with installation he said yes. Now i'm seeing $135.92. I already paid it but wondering what is it.

If you we're supposed to be getting a Buy 3 get 1 free deal, you should be heading back to the dealership since they charged you for 4 tires. They charged you $135.92 for the install, so either the service advisor was incorrect or maybe he misunderstood you. Did you ask them for an alignment too?

I mean he said installation will be free. And he said that I'll need alligment after tire replacement. They've done my allignment around 6000 miles ago at same dealer.
anyway i sent them e mail, let's se what they're gonna say. This is 2nd time they got me at this dealership. Problem is this is the closest one to my house....

That's sketchy. But at least you shopped around on the price of the tire, so you know they didn't rip you off there.

In the future, though, I would definitely recommend going elsewhere for tires/installation. I understand your point about clean service records, but no future buyer will ever care (nor will ever know) where your tires were purchased/mounted/balanced. That will have zero impact on your car's value. Warranty/mechanical work, sure, but not tires.

If you go to a tire specialist, you'll almost certainly get a better deal, and they may even do a better job (since the work will done by people who deal with tires all day, every day).

Since I know i need new tires, I was gonna go to tire shop for doing it. I went to dealer only for oil change which was gonna be around $50-60.
but they came with good deal so I said why not. I mean the only thing is this $135.92 extra cost. Other than that it was acceptable numbers. And alligment would be around $80-90.
Anyway,
Let's see what they're gonna say.
