I have a 8 years old and 4 year old.with a baby due in December I really need the middle seat honestly. Hopefully the new r is 5 seats and I'll be back if I can get one for msrp.
Didn't catch that bit my friend, yeah with 3 you may need more real estate. Enjoy the WRX!

I would have traded it in for something more useful like an SUV or something that still has the fun factor and will make the wife who's making "bank" happy or would have kept it and have the wife buy her own SUV. WRX would have been nice but just can't overlook the hideous looking plastic cladding over the wheel wells.

Looks nice. Good luck. I am not a fan personally of the black trim on it. Probably the first thing I’d change. I had a Subaru personally prefer the Honda. But I’m on a type r forum so I’m sure that’s no surprise. The financial part. No real comment do what works for you. Especially since all of this stuff is technically a waste of money lol. My type r is a second car and my Tesla is my daily driver. So I’m but both paid for. So enjoy your new ride.

Sounds more like you need and SUV or a mini Van with a third row. Pilot for the Fam, Type R for me. 😉

I saw a blue one recently and they painted the trim over the wheel wells body colour and it looked really good.

Did you finance 100% on the CTR? How did you not buy the WRX with the cash from the CTR $44k? I don't understand.

My calculated guess would assume that the car was on a 5yr/60 month loan and probably 1/2 way through the remaining payments. The balance owed on the car has to be under 20K and was paid-off by the dealership.

I'm figuring the remaining from the sale (24K or at least half) most certainly went towards the purchase of the new WRX and the OP financed the remaining balance (15K or more) into another 3-5 year loan or the OP put some but not all towards the loan on the new car. If monthly payment was the goal instead of focusing on payoff over time, you have to agree that a longer stretched-out loan clearly affects the monthly. The longer the loan, the lower the payments but at the cost of paying more interest over time unless you payoff the balance when it gets to a more meaningful amount.

(I'm not sure why I'm doing math on a non-work day. Already had the BBQ yesterday, today should be rest, remembrance and appreciate day of our fallen heroes). Hope everyone is having a splendid Memorial Day before we head back to reality again this week. More holidays to come!

Purchase the type r for 39k owed 30k after a year.put down 12k of equity on the wrx 2k in the bank. Wrx was 33k but with the 12k it was purchased for 21k no tax low apr.72 months low 300s from high 500s both 6 year loans.
