Wave to other civic drivers?

If I see another red Si XGen coupe, then I will do something like beep etc. Last summer while doing 60 on a double lane roadway, I pulled up along side a twin of mine and gave a friendly beep beep. Older dude with his window down and arm out gave me a thumbs up and I reciprocated. I’ll nod if I see an Si or CTR beside me

Does it have to be red? What about the other colors

Ha, I was just thinking about that today. Actually no. If I came along side any other colour Si, I would do the same.
It's just that seeing another red Si is so rare in Toronto (black cars seem to be the unofficial color) it's that I feel compelled to show my appreciation that someone got something other than the norm

That is funny. or we can just put some indicator that we are part of this forum community - something like an inconspicuous decal like this

The Type R owners in my area all wave or give thumbs ups to one another. It's a pretty small club though.

I decided to stop waving the other day when I saw someone in a base sedan driving at night on I-10 in Houston with just the DRL’s.

Saw a white hatch sport with red emblems ahead of me but I couldn't get next to him before a red light separated us lol. Guy was going over 50 in a 35

Plenty of Civics to be sure, even 10th gen. But not that many Si's - I have spotted maybe 3 or 4. Type R's? Even less. I have literally
only seen one on the road. So waving to an Si owner or Type R owner could make sense. Otherwise, not so much.

I had a cool experience at a light with a g35 driver. We had the same car color, black wheels, everything was similar he rolled his window down and gave me thumbs up and I have it back, I haven’t had that with another civic.

So I used to drive jeeps a lot and there was a thing up until recently where you'd wave if you passed one going down the road. Is there something similar with Civics? I just got a 19 Sport sedan and was waved at 3 times today from other civic drivers
. If it's a thing I'll wave back but I've never heard of it before and it took me by surprise.

I do not know, because I try to focus on driving.
