I was wondering if anyone has washed the air filter that came with their PRL CAI? If yes, do you need a kit or can you clean with soap and water?

According to the description of the item, it is an Oiled cone air filter.

K&N Kit - I'm fairly sure it was officially recommended somewhere.

That's what I used; Just follow the K&N Instructions - Usually I pop the filter into the sink, cover it in the cleaning solution then flush it from the inside out quite thoroughly.

Let it dry (Stick a hairdryer on cool or car air dryer on the inside so it's blowing out through the filter) then re oil.

You can't really over-oil it unless you go bonkers, so just spin it round and oil it reasonably and you're all set.

I usually do mine when it starts looking dark and dirty.
