Honda Australia also won't warranty "Any vehicle used for competition (whether in sanctioned or unsanctioned competitive events), racing or record attempts or equipped with performance enhancing components." - https://www.honda.com.au/why-honda/warranty/5-year-warranty-terms-and-conditions.html

"And Acura's warranty, as well as Honda's, clearly states that it does not cover 'the use of the vehicle in competition or racing events.' So we asked Sage Marie, Senior Manager of Public Relations for Honda and Acura. 'If the car is stock, the warranty covers it on a track just as it does on the street. No question,' he told us. 'However, if the car is modified, say with slick tires or other components that would put higher stresses on the vehicle's parts and systems, then we would have to investigate the circumstances further.' Marie went on to say the same would be true for any Acura model or Honda vehicle, including the new 2017 Honda Civic Si." - http://www.autoblog.com/2017/02/27/new-car-warranty-valid-race-track/

"For those who are worried about warranty issues, Mr. Martin [Chris Martin is a spokesman for American Honda] also stressed the fact that there is no worry about any warranty issues as long as the car is not being used for sanctioned competitive racing events." - http://www.vtec.net/news/news-item?news_item_id=1329332

That's puts some Si and Type R owners, in particular, at odds with their warranties.
