Warranty extended to 10 years on AC condenser 2017-21

I had gotten a letter that they will replace it if it goes bad. Supposedly develops “holes” and original design was not manufactured to spec.

The way I understand it from some techs is _all_ are screwed and severity can depend on AC usage. However there are known instances of faulty ac straight from factory.

I know a few people have had issues with the AC. Here you go!

No issues through 13 months of ownership on my 2020. I hope we get an updated part at some point to help mitigate the problem.

Fun fact - I had 2 different Service Managers tried to warranty an aftermarket condenser and I had to decline it

Glad to hear. I've had mine replaced twice. Though I think the 2nd time was a result of the poor install the first time. This was my biggest worry as my warranty is close to being up

My car is at Honda. The compressor is leaking which is also a big known issue. My car is out of warranty but Honda was generous to cover most of the cost.

I got the same letter, but it was not for my CTR.
It was for my wife's 2018 Accord.

Had to go all the way to Honda Corporate in Torrance (including a letter to Japan) to get my AC fixed. It seems each time I brought it in (SoCal), all THREE TIMES, that by some strange coincidence, it was a different part...Condenser, compressor, etc etc... My persistence finally paid off and Honda finally fixed this sub par sub quality AC. My wife's Corolla has an AC that rivals Antarctica...
