As I read through this 10 page thread I feel like there is no consistant common route to swapping these sidemarkers.

I am interested in the smokes ones for my championship white CTR however after reading so much back and forth regarding which ones to buy, problems with condensation, modifying sockets, splicing wires, using factory bulb or gettinf aftermarket bulb, I have to say that I am very confused and do not know where to start.

I would get them and install them if I can eliminate the guessing work.

Can someone be so kind and please reply to this post with the link of which one I should by, whether I need to purchase any additional pieces or bulbs, precise instructions on how to get this right the first time and not run risk of condensation or light not sitting flush with opening?
Not exactly what you want but I purchased these:

DEPO 2016-2018 Honda Civic 2D/4D/5D Clear Front Bumper Side Marker Light Set + Amber Bulbs https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073X6NRKQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_qNpSBbZM7BB3X

You should be able to find the equivalent ones in your desired color.

No cutting anything and no condensation (in FL). The bulbs it comes with work as well but I did do an upgrade to LEDs

This thread is exactly the problem with internet forums/internet information.

I have the factory clear lights. I bought them from eBay, legit Honda parts for a great price, from a guy in the Philippines or some place, and it took forever for them to arrive (but I didn't mind, I got them on their way before I got the car). They fit perfectly - the title of this thread is completely wrong. You do have to trim two of the four tabs on the US bulb socket it so it fits in the Asian part, but it fits perfectly, points the right direction, and plugs into your factory harness without any modification. You will avoid any sort condensation problems and won't have to cut any wires or tap into them or any of that janky ish that won't come within a hundred feet of my car.

If you want smoke, get some smoke tinted vinyl wrap and apply it before installing the lights. If you do it off the car, you can wrap the corners easily and use bulk vinyl instead of precut, which will have the added benefit of being cheaper.

What on earth do I have on my car, then? How did I manage to do it, in like 20 minutes? I can't be bothered to look for your particular "write up" but from what I can tell, people are putting the socket in backward so it interferes with the fender and the harness doesn't reach.

I bet you think UCF are national champions, too

:goodpost: I didn’t until we were officially recognized. Also, if you got your head out of your ass, you’d find my “write up” a few posts down. Also if you weren’t cheap, you wouldn’t have had to trim anything. So there you have it.

I read this whole thread a while back and still don't fully understand which OEM clear part numbers actually fit...... I don't want Depo or anything.
