Hey guys I'm planning on throwing on a cold air intake in my currently stocked 2016 Honda Civic LX model. I was wondering if there's any additional things I need to do along with it, like tuning the ECU to use with the new intake?

I've read about situations where swapping out stock parts could hinder the car's performance, so I'm trying not to run into those issues.

If youre throwing in a CAI and nothing else, no tune should be needed. Ive heard of some having issues with a select few Short Ram intake brands but PRL amd 27Won cold air setups are safe bets. Keep in mind, you'll see very little difference in performance.

If only for sound it'll be fine, but if you're looking for performance I'd suggest a ktuner first. Even on the 2.0 you get very decent gains. there is a thread about this here and I was quite surprised about the NA gains you can get on this platform.

I didn’t think those intakes fit the 2.0 L motor?

Your fuel trims will not be off. This isn’t the 1.5t.

You don’t have to do anything. Install it and drive. Car will be fine. Get the k and n.

Not sure about fitment. But IMHO a stand alone CAI isnt going to do anything significant. Save your money and get a Ktuner. It will make your car a ton more fun, it did for me. I run a PRL short ram because I love the woosh sound lol.

Ordered the K&N, currently have the K&N drop in. This with the down pipe and ktuner should provide some good sound, can’t wait.
