How involved was the buffing, are any special tools or polish/chemical used? Haven’t reached that step yet.

Feel fortunate to get one. Was thinking I’d be in the next batch (April). After that, Evasive said it probably will be Thanksgiving or so for another order to arrive.

Nice! Mine was part of the same shipment. I pulled the stock wing off today and buffed the area where it mounts. Ran out of sunlight and will finish installing tomorrow.

I hand polished the area using a microfiber sponge and Menzerna Super Finish 3500. It took me about 30 minutes on each side. The foam under the wing stands that makes contact with the car left hundreds of tiny micro swirls. It looks good as new now. I didn’t clear coat. The car is mostly garaged and I’ll be happy if it lasts 5 years before it starts to fade. I’ll cross that bridge in the future. I’m definitely glad I was able to get one. I waited six months and they told me the wait is now 10+ months and there is a price increase due to the difference in yen to the dollar.

Had a hunch it was now or never, when inquired with Evasive. Joined the list a short time ago, then was lucky to get the call. Couldn’t imagine having to wait (10) months or so, with a price increase. This was expensive enough as is and the clear coat was an additional $385 and ceramic still to go

Thanks for the buffing tip, will try that. Can’t wait to see your installed pics. Gonna look amazing on RR :)

Whoa Damn!!! That looks so badass. Didn’t realize it was that tall and wide. No way my wife won’t notice when it’s on heh :)

Just tried ordering Menzerna Super Finish 3500 from Amazon and they are saying a delivery date of April 21 :(

The wing is expensive. More so than I fully knew going in. Kudos to anyone that was able to get it for less. I don’t have those kind of hookups, sigh.

For me it was $2,100 + tax... so about $2,320 + $385 clear coat + a ceramic coat about 20 days from now.

Probably will powder coat the bolting hardware black, so an additional $50.

Likely will keep the color scheme as-is, but considering painting either the endplates and/or stands CW, which would also add to the cost. Will mock it up with white paper to see how it looks when it’s installed to decide.

That said, seeing how good it turned out on PrisonerOfDoom’s Rally Red...No regrets.

Well... until I get an earful from my wife, heh.

Hmm. Like the option to reverse.. Also committed to the J’s vented hood CF/FRP so vinyl might be the way to go on that as well, instead of paint..

but heard wraps only last a couple years before needing to be redone?

Is the company you are referring to in SoCal?

Installed the Voltex 2V.

As far as BAW’s go.. it’s not huge. Going to hold off applying the end cap stickers for now....Looks good on CW... but think it really, REALLY pops on PrisonerOfDoom’s Rally Red :)

Thank you evolute...may try paint matched vinyl at some point, if it’s reversible in case it doesn’t look right.

Hi flixman,
Took the original hardware and had it powdercoated matte/flat black.

The goofy shop I took it to, lost the washers so bought black anodized washer replacements.

before and after: here
