VMR V701 19”x9.5” Frozen Bronze +45
Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 275-30-19
Quality of the wheels is excellent. The grip with the 275 4S rubber is astonishing. Finding the limit with these on public roads would be grossly irresponsible. I have had 4 passengers & an 80lb Lab in the hatch on the Comfort setting with zero rubbing. I really think the +45 offset is ideal.
VMR was awesome to deal with. Everything came ready to install & packing was more than sufficient.
Let me know if you have any questions. On to the good stuff...

Looks good! That’s the size I was really to get also. Stuff some 275 in the R!

Wow that rim and colour looks awesome!! Do you think offset 50 would fit too or is 45 the max. that fits on the damper-side (9.5" wide rim)? I saw that the VMR V701 is also available with offset 50.

What about the weight of the rim?

Edit: 19x9.5 is 25.5lbs and 18x9.5 is 23lbs. So more on the heavier side... But the price is definitely hot

Replaced the transmission fluid with Amsoil Synchromesh earlier today & got to put about 50 miles on it. Not only have the gate changes gotten noticeably smoother, but the transmission itself actually seems to be operating smoother. The little jerks from engine braking are gone. I’m pleasantly surprised.

Edit: I’m not sure if +50 offset would work. It is closer to stock (+60), so it would be closer to the stock geometry, but about a 1/4” more tucked than the +45. VMR recommended +45 for the FK8 In the 9.5” width. The wheel/tire package is not lighter than the stock set up, but it is an inch wider, so not surprising. The 275 seems like a really good fit with the stock ride height.

My favorite setup would be a 18x9.5" rim with offset 45-50 and the Advan Neova ADR08 tire in 265/35 R18. I want to keep the OEM geometry as close as possible so it would be interesting if a 50 offset would fit (it is 2.7mm closer to the strut than the OEM wheel).

Is this colour "Frozen Bronze" custom made or available from VMR?

The Frozen Bronze was done by VMR, but is considered one of their custom colors, so it added $100/wheel to the price.

Thank you! Could you please tell me the diameter of the hub? Did you need hub centric rings or is the hub diameter drilled with exact fit for the FK8?

These tires are considered a “Max Performance Summer” tire. Pretty mild winters here & we have a Subaru Outback in case it snows/ices & we have to go out.

Last question, what kind of lug nuts do I Need? Can I use the OEM ones from the OEM 20" Wheel or do I Need conical ones?

Standard conical lugs. The Honda OEM ball seat lugs are only for Honda wheels, I’m afraid.
