After lowering my car there has been violent shaking between 30-60mph while accelerating, going away before and after and when not accelerating. On top of this, there is a clank and what feels like a shift of weight when letting on and off the gas and breaking. Searching this forum, the general conclusion for this seems to be a ripped cv boot but I have checked mine and they are 100% ok. I have replaced my rear motor mount with a hasport one. I understand an alignment would play a role but this is only while accelerating and wouldn't explain the clunk. Could it be LCA ball joints? Transmission mount also sounds possible but I dont see how that would start after lowering. Thank you very much for any suggestions!

Have you checked the jack shaft bolts? The bolts that hold it to the motor?
Can you tell if it is more to the Right side of Left side of the vehicle?

Maybe try putting the OEM RMM back in and see what it does?

I think you circled the incorrect part, mate. šŸ˜…

OP: with what did you lower the vehicle?

No I was serious with that yellow circle. If the shaking ONLY occurs when in gear and on/off the gas, the issue may be in the drive-line somewhere. The only reason I would rule this out is because they still spin regardless of transmission status. The bolts that hold this bearing assembly are very short and prone to back out. If 2 loosened, or even 1, it could cause serious vibration.
This little fella right here. A half shaft. (not an axle)

Also curious..... the Hasport RMM has some really bad NVH. When you say "violent shaking", could you possibly be feeling the RMM doing it's job?

get lower ball joint spacers also known as roll center adjuster, when lowering your car the angle of your lower control arm is more flat. ball joint spacer will lower the mounting point of arm to joint bringing back the correct angle needed. alignment is also needed because toe changes when lowering.

This was happening before the motor mount and I installed it to try and fix it. It literally feels like the front of my car is going to fall apart.

Damn. Ok so it was suggested that you may need an alignment or to look at your suspension geometry.
Any chance you could record video of this?

Double-check everything you touched when installing your lowering springs or coilovers. Sounds as though this occurs during changes in suspension load. Could be as simple as having forgotten to tighten a control arm bolt.

Just spit balling here - Is your car CVT or M6 transmission? We used to have a similar sounding problem on the rear drive, front engine Porches (928, 944, etc.) It was the rubber bushings in the clutch pressure plate coming apart. Reuired replacing clutch assembly.

Is there a chance you lowered the car too much and the drive-shaft flex joints are binding?
