How did you trace the inner edge of the cutout?

I cut a piece of cardboard that would slide into the varis part. Then I traced the outline onto the cardboard. Remove the cardboard and cut it to shape and then trace that into the fender

Right, that seems to be the easiest way. Good work!

Only reason i mention it is because I really wanted to do this, just like the TCR but it would take removing the oem bumper, which youā€™ve already done hahah

Bruh, how is your car street-legal? Iā€™m pretty sure removing the OEM bumper core counts as modifying a safety system, which makes the vehicle not street legal. šŸ¤·šŸ¼šŸ˜¬

GA/FL cops are chill.

A lot of counties here don't even require an emissions test.

If I go any more north or west my car is getting impounded lol

Granted most cities aren't THAT bad here. Go to any cars and coffee here though and almost all the wild cars have Montana plates. As long as you don't drive like an ass and have a crazy loud exhaust for the most part they won't hassle you. Drive around catless DP with a Tomei exhaust though and yeah state ref time..

Looking into this further, seems like Federal laws are more lax on individuals modifying their own cars' safety systems, but specific states have their own restrictions. šŸ¤” Thus, 'street-legality' is highly contextual. I hope OP is totally in the clear! šŸ˜„ In CA, probably go straight to jail.

Yeah I am grateful we aren't severely regulated like other countries or even states. I wouldn't be able to run my quick release steering wheel in some places, or any of the performance stuff.
