Revision 4 datalogs uploaded to the IMW cloud. Feels very smooth, i am at the ignition limit for the fuel being used - Sunoco 93. 28psi around 3900 rpm, but boost has a nice progressive ramp up to max starting around 2400 rpm. Loose 1 psi or so at top end. AFR 11.8 at max boost for a couple hundred rpms dropping to 11.3-11.5.

Great numbers, but no worries about all that torque? Didnt wanna turn it down?

No, I've come to learn with the car its better to not worry something might be wrong because then every lttle thing seems like it could be an issue, besides still no issues with the even higher torque running e30 here and there!

I just don't abuse the car

I try not too worry too much lol, it is only 93 after all, like @Neddih said I'm not constantly beating on it. Once I have the final tune 1 will more than likely keep it on the middle MAP.

I wonder if there's a big difference between this turbo and the MHI TD03. My current mods are:

MHI TD03 Turbo, Etuned by Drob, PRL Cobra CAI Race Maf, PRL FMIC, RV6 Catted DP, PRL Flex Fuel Kit, ACT Clutch and Flywheel, Hasport 62a RMM

MHI TD03 is quite a bit smaller than VTT GC & especially GC+ (Compressor-wise). TD03 might be good up to 300whp, but the TD04L based VTT GC(+) has significantly more room especially in the top end. I'd recommend it, even more so considering it's value.

How about the reliability? I went from 27Won to MHI for this reason

From a spreadsheet I had put together regarding turbochargers available for the turbocharged 10th gen L15 platform (Including some that others are based on):

Turbo "Max" WHP@PSIBearingA/RC. Ind.C. Exd.C. BladesT. Ind.T. Exd.T. Blades
MHI TD03290.0028.00Journal0.5039.4049.009.0040.0035.9012.00
MHI TD04350.0028.00Journal0.5640.7056.0012.0047.1641.1211.00

I may be off a smidge with some of my little project's entries, but are still good reference points.

In terms of reliability how does it compare to 27Won, is it better?

I'm not sure there is enough time with this turbo to say. If going off of other Vargas turbos for BMWs then it looks to be really good. But for this platform time will tell. I think @Neddih has had this turbo the longest.

I'm just thinking if my MHI TD03 ever goes out which option would be best for me. I'm definitely not going back to 27Won, however, we have other options like RV6 R365, Pure Turbos, and now RV6 has released their new R365 RED. I'm thinking about cost but the most import thing I think is durability as the cost is very high ($500.00 tune, $500.00 installation) so lasting a good while would help. I don't mind spending the money as long as it lasts a decent amount of time ( I had the 27won for like 3 months before it gave up on me) and I want to stay around the 300 whp as I don't plan on building my block.

The vargas gc checks all the boxes, only time will tell on durability. I'm hoping no issues.
