V1? Escort? What radar detector you run?

As the money rolls in, I'm adding parts every week. I haven't ran my 8500 x50 for years, and I thinks it's dead. Wanting to get a new detector before tuner.... coz once that turner is in I'll be doing a lot of pulls.

What detector are tall running?

Uniden r7, if you’re patient you can find them around 430-450

Heres my setup. The R7 with just the cheaper Mirror mount which ive had no problems with haha. Hardwired as well with the mute button in the dash next to the VSA button

Do the newer mid to high end detectors from the major players filter out these particular frequencies?

I always kept X off - no department around me uses it - and laser off because it would occasionally false - from what, I don't know - and by the time you get a real laser alert, it's too late because you've already been targeted since laser has extremely little scatter.

Yes, newer detectors have better false alert filtering and have GPS based lockouts as well.

I only have KA band active on mine, so I get very very few false alerts ever.
