Hey all - New here on the forum, I personally do not own a Civic, but I am regularly on Autotrader perusing the used market. With 2021 seeing used car prices rise as high or higher than new car prices, I have been curious what the market has been doing to the Civic. Here is a crazy "deal" I found on a used Si for a dealer in my area.

I found this used 2020 Si with almost 16K miles for 40K. This I thought was a scam of some sort, but lo and behold the dealer has it posted on their website, for those who are curious:

Honda Civic 10th gen Used Civic prices have become crazy Si

For reference, I found a used CTR on Carvana for less:

I found this VERY interesting, just thought I would share with the Civic community. I would love to hear your thoughts on selling/buying on the used market and what you are seeing out there in regards to inflated used car pricing.

The closest Si to me is at Proctor Honda, Tallahassee, FL. Certified 2020 sedan with 2,707 miles for $31,490. Over $5,000 more than I paid for mine new! ?

Once the 2022 Si and Type R come out, the prices on all 10th Gens will drop. I doubt the Type R will drop below $30k used at first, but the Si's will drop closer to $20k pretty quickly. That is, if people turn out liking the 11th Gen and it's worth the upgrade.

Used cars in general are crazy right now. I was looking at civics (2019+) in my area and the cheapest one was an LX i think with 80k miles for $20K. I got a brand new EX for $25K. Wasnt a hard choice to make.

Protect your cars people. This is dealership humor, but if cars are selling for this price, theft will inevitably increase as well.

I was at the Honda dealership today to see the 2022 civics they had 2.0 liter no turbo ill wait until they have the hatchback. but in their preowned lot there was a 2018 sport touring hatchback sonic grey with little over 17k on it for 29k. back in 2018 I was looking at a red sport touring it was the same price then but with 7 miles on the OD
a salesperson was trying to get me to trade. Its got to take a lot for me too give up my coupe

Just sold our 2020 Sport Hatch to Carvana. Their offer went up $1600 last week to ~24K. Not counting tax, this is more than we paid 9 months ago.

Gonna wait 6-12 months before we decide what to replace it with.

I'm so lucky I picked my 2018 ex-t last year at $16k with 29,000 miles on it. Similar cars here are going for around $21-22k a year later. Crazy.

Carvana in years past used to be the highest, but CarMax and Vroom were highest this time around. Carvana was around $22-23k for me, and I sold to CarMax for $27k. Vroom was $27,400. Either way, profit is profit!
