Walked into a dealer today asking 37k for my 2019 Type R with 13,000 miles. No haggling at all, they immediately agreed. If I cared enough I'd haggle for more but it's worth not dealing with a haggle to be out of the car and getting paid.

o_O Of course they immediately agreed, they'll make almost 10k off of it

Doubtful around here. We have about 6 brand new ones priced at 42k and under.
Yeah, I don't think it's 10k profit on a used car either but even 2k - 5k profit is a lot better than the 1% - 2% profit from selling a new car (CTR not included). Dealers make a lot more selling used cars.

Carvana only showing 21k for my 20 Sport Hatch. Last year they paid $3K more for my F150 than I purchased it for new.

If they hit 24 on the hatch, it’s theirs.

Wow, I didn’t know there were so many civic enthusiasts who are also economic experts. That’s amazing.

"Experts" is a stretch.

Carmax says my 2020 Si with 14k miles is worth $27,200. Dang.

Curious what Vroom would offer me for my Type R with 1300 miles. I paid just a smidge more OTD compared to what they are offering me. Man, this market is nuts!

That's crazy, I wonder if they'd offer more for mine with only 8k miles. That's like 4k more than I paid for mine brand new last year. I'd love to swap up to a type R with basically a similar payment to what I have now but i'm sure it's hard/impossible to find one at MSRP right now.

Give it a shot, some dealers don't sell over MSRP on principle, so you might find one. A 2020 Si is much harder to find than a Type R.

They responded back and after a few questions regarding ownership, mileage, and location, they adjusted their offer to 42,000 which is still very reasonable. They directed me to take my R to a dealership about 20 miles away for an inspection and if there are no issues, they will cut me a check on the spot. Crazy to say this but if they say everything is good and want to pay me that amount, I'm taking it. Already got another car ordered but don't want to reveal what it is just yet... :)

Out of curiosity, I checked and they offered me $35,434* for my 2017 Civic Type R with 15,000 miles on it. Thousands more than what I paid.
*Correction, I originally indicated $34K, they offered $35K+
I got offered 31k on my 2017 R with 5k miles ?
