USB Port in Glove Box

Does anyone know the amps of the USB port that is in the Glove Compartment? I'm thinking of buying a dashcam and was gonna run the wire to be plugged in there.

Do you mean the center console or the glove compartment? On my Sedan Sport, it says 1A on the cover for the center console one. I suspect others are the same.

Hmm...my Si (sedan) and R do not have one in the glove box that I know of. I'll have to check this out. Definitely in the center console though, under the armrest area.

weird, My R has one in the glove with a black casing, i’ve attached a photo

Looks like that just plugged into the usb port below the center stack, to the left of the 12V socket. No? If so, it's 1.0A. It's printed on the little door thingy.

My '20 Si came with a cable just like yours, but mines in the center stack as showed below.

I have one in the center too, so i guess I have two?

Here's the spec for the 2021 Type-R. Only two USB. One in the center console and one in the front console.
