How’s it going everyone, don’t know if this is the right place to post this, but I’m sorry in advance. I’ve done a lot of research with cars, well I know a lot more than what I used to at least. I drive a 2017 civic hatch 10th gen 1.5l CVT and I love this car a lot, but 175hp isn’t enough for me, what else can I do to this gal to make her run a little more on the 250-300hp side?

I don't remember their name, but someone on here is running low 13's/high 12's with a CVT. So it can be done. Biggest things to watch out for are the rods on your 1.5T. People have bent them with excessive boost. CVT cooler, Ktuner and FBO should get you in the 250 range.

Thanks man much appreciated, and to avoid the rods being bent, I should get a better turbo right

300hp with the CVT and those rods? Don't even think about it.

I run 21psi with Ktuner and 93 octane in my EX-L sedan and probably have 35 more hp than stock. It's a noticeble increase.

In the same boat here with the CVT, trying to hit that range as well.

In the end, I'm tryna keep up with stock SI's, GTI's, and FRS/BRZ's

Got my ktuner (didn't use yet), Injen SRI (installed)

Trying to figure out what the next bolt on should be. The only CVT cooler I see is PRLs are there any others out there?

It is more about where the torque comes in at as opposed to the number. 300wtq is doable on those rods if the curve is pushed higher in the power band. Torque at higher RPMs saves rods.

Yes - gtman is spot on there. With one of the upgraded ICs out there you'll NET another 7-10whp and 7-10wtq on top of the 21psi base tune; along with consistant LOW Post Intake Temps. Add a high flow Catted DP and get another 15-20whp. Don't want to push that stock turbo to it's limits - unless you really don't care about longevity? It is still rather pricey at around $1400/US.

My 2018 Civic Sport CVT hatch was able to do 300whp and 300wtq it’s FBO running about 60% ethanol mix. Its still my daily and has been for going on 7 months now after the mods. I don’t get on it every day or race everyday so I’m sure that plays a factor to why the engine and trans has lasted this long. Haven’t had a single issue with it since I moded it and got it tuned. I’m very happy with it and it amazed me how fast it is on the CVT but it also scares me because of what people say about the CVT transmission blowing up. But it’s doable and I have achieved it. Here are the mods:

PRL race cobra intake
PRL flex fuel kit
PRL catless downpipe and front pipe
Greddy supreme SP exhaust
Injen intercooler
27Won big turbo kit
27Won trans mount
Ktuner V2
Custom flex fuel tune by CP Motorsports

We likely won't know. That poster hasn't been here in almost two years. He had two posts; both identical.
