Ya the 2019+ comes with a slight redesign to the climate controls. Also added the volume knob. I guess Honda was actually listening to complaints lol

I have one of the climate control units with the fan speed knob for sale if anyone feels like shooting me an offer.

Hello
My civic is the 2017 hatchback model, Sport Version (1.5T).
I own at this moment following climat control unit:
Honda Civic 10th gen "Upgraded" Climate Control Install 1

I would like to change it to this one:
Honda Civic 10th gen "Upgraded" Climate Control Install 2

Will it work? I would like to know if the screen will be functional and all of the buttons.
What about the "MODE" button. Is it possible that it will be also operational?

Do you know if there will be any downside of this swap?

As far as i know You will loose 2 things in this swap, the duel zone climate control adjustability ( make sure the temperatures are synchronized before powering off, and the ability to access the "climate" page on your radio. The top middle "climate" button you have now will no longer be accessible cause there is no more button, however all of that functionality will be in the buttons on the older AC panel. ( fan speed, temperature and compressor on and off ) which becomes your two knobs and the AC button on the panel with the screen your changing to.

A small gripe if you really want to call it that, you will have multiple temperature readouts with this swap, the normal radio temp at the top corner, and the AC panel itself will permanently show the set temperature on it. I have no problem with this, and I prefer the AC panel to show it anyway over the radio screen.

Thanks for the reply.

I see no problem with dual control issue.
I own at this moment OEM head unit replacement from our china friend. There is no temperature value on the screen - so this would be also not a problem. The screen would be the big improvement over this what I have right now. At this moment the temperature value is visible only when I change it. Then the information goes away form the screen.

I have also doubts regarding temperature units. I am from Europe, so the Celcius degree are in use.
Will it be the problem. Do you think that after swapping the unit I will see the Fahrenheit value? This would be not acceptable.

i do not know this, i don't know if the dash gauge cluster language select would change the AC system display or not. I would hope it would.

Based on informations from above - I need the unit from Canada or from Japan to be sure that it will be compatible with Celcius degree.
I guess it will be difficult to find.

Also ... I need the version without seat heater buttons.
For the information ... this is my interior view - the R-Type style, so the seats are no heated any more.

Hi!

This version(with seat heating option) was available in Canada, and Europe.
The problem is it was available a very rare trim level. In Europe only the Sedan with Confort trim level. Here is the part number.

The new unit price is ridiculos.

As I mentioned - I have Type-R seats (I swapped them from the original). They are without heater.
What would be the PN for the panel with the screen and without seat heater option.
Would be good to know the PN for US and for the Japanese/Canadian version

I love how your head unit looks. That's what Honda should have done from the factory.
