Yeah it looks like some kind of animal...Looks like its not even to the paint. You could possibly buff that out with some scratch X or Polish

Yeah, thats what im thinking about doing. i have a few imperfectioons on my car so i was thinking about getting them fixed then getting a professional detailer who would polish and wax my car.

That looks like some bastard resting stuff on your car. Maybe they were carrying a box or something similar and used your tailgate as a table.

WAY too uniform for claw marks (what animal has THAT many claws?)
Looks like corrugated cardboard ... a large/long box, they they were trying to get around/over your car, but had to make multiple attempts ... kinda like a 3 point turn.
I agree, it should buff out ... but I'd be trying to hunt down the perpetrator.

Possibly, but highly doubt it. My office i can see my car parked, also we have had a raccoon issue in the neighborhood due to new development going up in the area. The raccoon may also be mad because i got him out of under our house!

raccoons i believe have 5 claws and they are pretty close together, seems like the fatty tried to get on top for whatever reason, i would honestly be surprised if it was a person. I just don't know when it would happen if it was a person.
