If I'm reading the rules right - which is always questionable, LoL - a turbo blanket isn't a listed mod in STU. Thus, the car goes up, but I can't find an SP class that has the Type R listed. Thus, is SMF the right class?

SMF is likely the safest bet, though I don't really know how it really matters performance wise

Thanks Jen :)

Performance-wise for autox, it would only make a difference on hot days, and later runs. The intake tube that runs over the turbo gets hotter without a turbo blanket (+factory heat shield) and the power can go down pretty noticeably. (It is less of an issue for a DS car.) The driver is the limiting factor in any case :p.
