I have been extremely intrigued by the Type R and I just got my first car in January. I got a brand spanking new 2017 Civic Si coupe in Lunar Silver. I really love the stock wing but I have always liked the look of a bigger wing, like the STI. So I looked around and found the Type R wing made to fit the coupe and its carbon fiber, made by seibon. It is absolutely gorgeous but I don't want to spend 540$ just to see it look really bad. Does anyone here have a coupe with the wing on so I can see what it will look like? Or just opinions. I really want to get the wing but lets make sure it doesnt look dumb!

Thank you for responding. The wing on this build looks like alright. Im sure it would look better on an Si with carbon fiber and in silver. What do you think?
Honestly, all the replica wings I've seen for non-hatches seem really small (maybe it's just the photo angles I've seen?), and imo spoilers like the Type-R one don't look the best when they're not properly sized, so I've never seen one I'm a huge fan of. If you think it's fine though, go for it haha

edit: if you're looking for a reply that's not there, it's because I replied to the wrong thread lmao

not my pic but i suggest you save your money. seibon carbons wing is way too small. its proportions look so off compared to the car that it looks really weird.

I've got a Type R spoiler on my Coupe you can take a look at; I agree that the Seibon's proportions seem a little off. It's not an SI but let me know if there are any specific angles you want to see and I'll be happy to post a pic for you.

The Sedan version does look pretty well sized; there's one guy who has one on his but I'm blanking on his name... I know his garage has a ton of views though.

The white sedan? I think I know which one you’re talking about. Any idea if the si sedan is same width as base sedan

I'm in the camp that thinks the wing on the R is hideous. But it won't look any worse on the Si coupe. So if you like it, do it!

If asking for opinions, then I also feel it looks a bit whacky on the coupe. I don't think I've seen anyone with it on their sedan, actually. But it just kinda makes the coupe's proportions look pretty off. I actually like the stock Si spoiler a lot - it has a good balance in size. I haven't looked around for other spoilers or wings, however. But I have seen the CTR wing on a couple coupes irl and it's a no for me lol.

I think the R style wing on that white coupe looks decent but I hate the way it mounts. The mounting points make the supports look bulky and just looks like it creates even more drag.
