Starting a Type R-only MPG challenge. Let's add one more reason as to why these cars are so amazing. What's your best MPG??? This is your chance to show off to the world how incredibly slow and boring you can drive lol

Rules:
1. Must post a pic from the Fuel/Gas/Petrol/Mileage/Range Category on the Driver's Instrument Panel
2. Must have at least 20 miles on Trip
3. The most impressive numbers wins and can be MPG alone or a combo of MPG + miles driven.
Ex: 36 MPG w/ 50 miles is more impressive than 38 MPG w/ 20 miles.
4. Winner is determined by the most Thanks received by the forum members

Now get out there and...uhmm..... save that fuel !

Is that on stock tires/wheels?

If you're running smaller diameter wheel/tyre combo, your MPG is going to be inflated.

This on Bridgestone RE71R’s, 265/35/18, smaller circumference than stock. All interstate driving, 65-70mph but with cold start, ran some errands, then hit the road.

100% stock wheels + tires.
35psi fronts/33psi rears
Did you reset your trip computer in the middle of a highway cruise at 50 mph? Are your tires mostly bald?

What did you do to get 39 mpg? My old commute with no traffic and getting a little lucky with lights at 50-60 mph would get me close to that.

Ha, ive done the milage lots. The cars mpg computer is highly inaccurate. I do mine the old way . Fill tank drive till empty. Fill again do the math. Everytime the cars computer is off by 4 to 6 mpg. Matter of fact you can go to different screens in the menus and it will tell you wildly different mpgs. Here are the 4 different mpgs from the 4 screens taken at same time... i have found this cars average is around 28 mpg

Just did the math on my above #'s: 240 miles and 7.1 gallons =33.8 mpg. not 36.8 as reported by the computer.

It's a type r...shouldn't the lowest number win?
If I wanted mpg I would have bought a Prius! I'll have to get my keys to post a pic, for the entire length of ownership of 1,064 miles I'm getting 22.5mpg(per the gauge) all in town with AC on in summer, a heavy right foot and smiles from ear to ear...WINNING!

Haha no, tires are fine. If I had reset Trip, it would've also reset the miles driven, so no I didn't do that. That's why Rule #2 is there: 20 miles minimum.

imo this needs to be computed at the end of a tank at the pump, otherwise the results are moot. Personally the computer in mine is around 2 mpg higher than actual.
