Hi all,

I did a quick search for calculated motion ratio for the 17+ Type R, but didn't find anything posted. Anyone taken the measurements? It's below freezing and I've got about 3 inches of snow on the ground- so I can't say that I'm crazy about crawling underneath the car to take measurements right this minute...

Any help appreciated!

hks provides the motion ratio in their coilover tech info page (it's very generous of them to share these accurate data on most of the newer setups, shows how much testing they do with an actual car)

https://www.hks-power.co.jp/en/product_db/hipermax/db/20316

front is 1
rear is 1.34 spring, 0.93 (damper), they use the installation ratio format
use 1 divide by their # to get the motion ratio

intresting the rear damper motion ratio is actually larger than 1, i guess it travels in a more straight arc then the wheel.

I want to keep it under 2hz, as it's still a street-driven car.

If anyone feels like sharing, I'd be interested in hearing about other member's choice in spring rate, based on actual calculation, what it's primarily used for (track, autox, etc.), and any experiences with said setup.
