I spent months, maybe even a year reading through the CTR post trying to see if I truly wanted this car. After two days (150 miles), I am definitely excite about my purchase. The wait was worth it. My local dealer (purchased about 5 cars from them) called me and told me they were getting one in. All i had to do was be there and complete the paperwork and it was mine. No downpayment or anything. I was actually able to test drive before everything was finalized.

I was able to get it for $35,574 after taxes. Sounds to true to believe, but yes this is true. After reading many post on civicX, I decided to purchased some winter tires from tire rack, ceramic coating, clear bra as well as buy 1999 Honda Accord with around 160K (one owner who i personally know). Great price btw.

The hope is to drive the CTR on none rainy/snowy days (I live in TN). In my search I saw many dealers selling used CTR WAY over MSRP, which blew my mind. I even saw one going for 50K in D.C. I turn 34 this Friday, and I have to say this is the best Honda I have every purchased, to include the CBR600 and CB1000. Definitely not a mid life crises purchase. Thanks for all the love welcoming me into the CTr family...

Wait. So this car was brand new?
How much was the price BEFORE taxes and fees!?

Which dealership was this? I'm sure others would like to know.

I purchased my 2018 to replace my 14yr old 3series. Got tired of $1000 repairs every year. Might end up keeping up with the repairs since im babying the CTR hehe.

Many dealers in TN are selling for that price. Because of my employment I didn’t pay taxes on the purchase.

@b3arfruit What kind of employment allows you to skip taxes?
A year or so ago someone went as far as asking me to post my contract on here and I chose not to for privacy reason. A little why after this purchases I cautioned even writing it. Nothing again you brother, but somewhat regret putting what I paid. Button line with some good searching you can definitely find cheaper than I paid for a new one. I saw one in MO go for $34,700.

Congrats and welcome to the family! So, if I may start with the propaganda & pass on the sickness, if you want this car to really shine, upgrade the inter cooler (PRL or Mishimoto) and get the KTuner or Hondata tune. Tons of fun & safe for your flag ship.

Safe as far as the tune won't damage the vehicle or safe as far as warranty goes or both?

It's cool. I understand certain people work certain jobs where confidentiality is warranted. I was just thinking I'd like myself a job where I could avoid taxes myself cause I've never heard of such :)

I still have to pay taxes on everything else just not vehicle purchases if that makes sense.
