The owner's manual says it locks into place? So is the stalk the old school type that that actually clicks and locks and then pops back out when the turn is done? And to cancel a turn you push it the other way?

Or is it the electronic type that just clicks but doesn't lock? And to cancel a turn you click it in the same direction?

One-Touch Turn Signal
...
For a continuous signal, push the lever up or down until it locks into place.

Both. Pulling the lever past the initial restriction goes into the "old school type" mode

Yes it's both, it's a 2 stage switch. Push down slightly for a quick 3 second turn signal, or push it down until it clicks to keep it on until a turn is completed. I like the quick signal but it's too brief usually and i end up using the full signal most of the time. It's meant more for quick lane changes on the interstate.
