Turn By Turn navigation Odometer

Here is the thing that bothers me for the last couple of days: fit some reason that awesome feature stopped working for my Android Auto, while it still works for the built-in Nav. Not sure if I accidently disabled it in my Civic or in my Android. Checked various options, including "Turn by turn" which is this on, and nothing helps. I even reset the Nav settings. Still nothing.

Any ideas?

I have AA version 3.8 and Google Maps version 10.6.1.

According to this thread, apparently that Google maps update killed the turn by turn feature. Try uninstalling updates/revert back to an older version of Google Maps.

Thanks, just reverted 2 minor versions back to 10.4.1 - works like charm again.

I returned from a 2 week business trip a couple of weeks ago and the turn-by-turn display has disappeared. That is great news for me since I hated that "feature".

I had to disconnect/re-connect my phone as AA wouldn't work when I first returned. Not sure if this solved the problem or if the Maps update others mentioned did it.

I just read on a Android Auto forum that this is being "fixed" in the next update of Google Maps. Around Jan 10-11 some of us will be happy and some not so much.

Me too! Though I had to update my AA as it wouldn't even load after the latest update. I'm using a Pixel 3.
