Anyone had experience with a turbo upgrade?
I've been looking at PRL:

...and Pure550:

What I'm now finding is the stock fuel system really should be upgraded to something like Hondata's if you're going with a bigger turbo.

From PRL, Two Stage and other sources, feedback I'm getting leads to it's pointless w/o a fuel system upgrade.
Replies from these support points of contact:
  1. it will severely limit your performance gains. To get your money's worth out of the turbo, upgrading the fuel system is vital.
  2. there is a known fuel starvations happening when power is upgraded
  3. The factory fuel system is out of flow with simple bolt ons and tuning. You will run out of fuel system at the same power level regardless of what turbocharger is attached to the engine.

If you're on Hondata, no huge worries...other than cost of $2k for fuel system.
If you're on KTuner, so far from what I'm seeing...you're out of luck and you won't be able to tune to Hondata's fuel system with KTuner.

Would like to hear if anyone has done a turbo upgrade and:
1. Is 450WHP+ too much for a FWD on a track?
2. Anything else you upgraded along with the turbo...i.e. intercooler, etc?
3. Glad you did it? Turn out to be best thing ever/worst nightmare?

My FC1 is shy over 450whp and it's fine on the track

Along with turbo got a few things done: fmic, race cai/tip/dp, j's grill, varis bonnet, turbo blanket, and heat wrap

worst thing is doing it at night with minimal lighting LOL. I stopped and worked on it the next day
