So after quite a bit of reading I am not really sure which aftermarket IC to go with. My primary concern is to maintain stock (or better) engine responsiveness. Which IC gives the least turbo lag and/or the best spool?

Has anyone actually had the opportunity to compare them? Looking forward to hearing your opinions.

I’ve also got the PRL intercooler. I noticed a very slight increase in spool and performance.

I’m only seeing a max of 20psi where I used to see around 23psi before.

I also have the PRL intercooler and I have to agree with the comments of others. I feel like I've noticed a slight increase in spool and a slight better throttle response. I see absolutely zero negatives with going with PRL.

Are you running Hondata or Ktuner and if you are not running a tuning solution. I would recommend it first to see how the car functions first before puting parts on.

From what I've read, the prl is the way to go. I can tell you from driving a Mishimoto intercooled R without a tune, it improved boost lag and power. I also had the chance of driving an injen intercooled R. The injen had terrible lag over the stock intercooler. In fact, it made his R nearly 3 cars slower on road tests
